Ingredients:

Black cohosh (Cimicifuga or Acatea racemosa) Safely helps provide the required hormone balancing to help ease women through the menopausal transition. One of the main ways it achieves this is by regulating the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, the master endocrine control system. When this axis is regulated, a profound effect can be achieved in hormonal balance.

One of the active ingredients, triterpene glycosides has an effect upon the hypothalamus-pituitary system which leads to secondary effects upon the reproductive and sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Black cohosh also has positive effects on the mood by activating serotonin receptors.

Wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) Thought to have estrogenic properties. Its contents, adenosine and arbutin, are thought to be responsible for these estrogenic effects in regulating the female endocrine system. Wild yam possesses antioxidant properties and may lower elevated triglyceride levels. Wild yam contains diosgenin, a compound used in the synthesis of hormones like estrogen and DHEA. Diosgenin is a plant steroid that assists with night sweats and hot flushes.
Maca (Lepidium meyenii) Also known as Peruvian Ginseng, acts as an adaptogen.
