Bugz-away Tick and Flea shampoo

A hand-made, beautiful, safe, all-natural, home-made (with love) natural tick and flea-repellent dog shampoo.

Ingredients:
Natural unscented castile soap, Apple cider vinegar, Coconut oil, Essential oils to repel ticks and fleas

Directions:

Place the bottle in warm water if the coconut oil has solidified e.g. with cold weather
Shake well before use and apply to wet coat. Massage gently and then rinse off with warm water
Store in a cool place

Why Castile soap?
Just as it is important for us humans to have an alkaline body for health reasons, so too is it for dogs
Each person and each dog has its own pH level and as dogs are not humans, it is important to not use human products on dogs
Dogs should have an alkaline body level of between 6 -8,5
We, therefore, need to ensure that the shampoo we use to wash them, has an alkaline level of above 7
This is where Castile soap comes in: with an alkaline level of 8,9, as well as being unscented and a natural product, it is perfect for our fur-kids

Why Coconut Oil?
Coconut oil has a neutral pH and it is very soothing to the skin
Coconut oil has natural antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties
This makes it ideal as a natural topical antibiotic and the perfect alternative to undesirable chemical-based products
Coconut oil can also be applied to help heal cuts and wounds
Coconut oil is a great moisturizer as it hydrates the skin, and this will help to not only alleviate itching but also to make his/her fur shiny and glossy. It is also known to help repel ticks and fleas

Why ACV?
Apple Cider Vinegar adds a gentle touch of acidity to the shampoo to create a good balance. A healthy dog pH level improves the fur-kids’ digestion too

It further helps with repelling fleas, assisting with relief to hot spots,
helps to keep the ears clean and it also rids the skin of bacteria.
