It’s that time of year where we all start slowing down, just before the pressure of the year gets too much. While our bodies and workload may be going into siesta mode, our diet and lifestyle tend to go into over-drive.
I love the holiday vibe! The smell of a summer braai, cheesy Boney M songs on the radio, lazy days in the sun, cocktails by the pool…it’s called the the festive season for a reason. While living the carefree life is amazing, come the New Year, don’t you feel like you are seriously lagging with a food & alcohol hangover from one too many slices of cake and G&T’s by the pool?
Now I wouldn’t pass up a good “kuier” with the friends, I write-off December as my “cheat month” lol. While usually I keep drumming on the importance of a clean diet, you do need to live a little bit and take in ALL of the season. So, I went on a mission with the VitaSoul ladies to find the most natural remedies that will allow you to be naughty while still feeling nice!

And just because it’s the holidays, it doesn’t mean you must slack off completely from living healthy, the key is that everything must be in moderation… but a little splurge now and then during this time will be forgiven.
